There's always a sense of anticipation in opening a new Sierra Foothills Zin, and this one lives up to the reputation. It's very strong and fruity, with huge aromas and flavors of wild berries, and it also has those raisiny, Port-like notes so common to this area. Despite the 15% alcohol, it drinks bone dry, with the silkiest tannins imaginable.
