From 1995, the vecchia annata (old vintage) referred to in the wine's name, this Sangiovese-based wine shows dried fruit aromas of prune and dried currant backed by licorice, tar and cola. The wine shows nicely aged aromas with some sour cherry and fine, polished tannins on the close.
