Made entirely with Sangiovese, this seven year-old is showing some age. It opens with aromas of prune, resin, toast and vanilla that all carry over to the dense palate along with blackberry extract and oak-driven spice. It lacks fruit richness while astringent wood tannins leave an abrupt, drying finish.
