Orange marmalade and orgeat syrup hint at the sweeter side of this wine, but there is also a sharp and interesting line of chopped basil and cut scallions on the nose. The palate is indeed sweet, with honeysuckle and apple-lemon custard flavors, but shows an herbal compost and quinine element as well.
