It opens with an earthy fragrance of black plum, underbrush, meat juices, thyme and bay leaf. The dense palate delivers juicy black cherry accented with licorice, black pepper and balsamic herbs. Big and concentrated, it has ripe tannins balanced by decent acidity. Hold for more complexity. Drink 2016–2923.
